It is good to give thanks to the Lord, and to sing praises to Your name. O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, And Your faithfulness everynight. –– Psalm 92:1-2
Okay, thanks for the 2×4. I don’t get to my devotional til almost lunch time, and this is the verse.
🙂
At least it was just a little tap, that mean Charles Stanley didn’t have to rub salt in the wound.
A person with no devotional life generally sturggles with faith and disobedience. — Chareles Stanley
And you know what, after 11 days, I’m finding fatih and obedience a bit easier. You should try it.
Just don’t start praying for patience. 😉
Seriously, there’s a reason to begin and end your day with God. One of the first things I do in my day is give my husband & kids a kiss goodbye as they head off to work and school. One of the last things I do at night is give them a kiss good-night. A token of my affection, a moment of intimacy to express my love. What do I give God? Do I even give Him a moment of my time? Or do I think, I’m too busy now, I’ll get to it later.
Even a momentary prayer, “Thank You, God, for giving me this new day to live in” can set the stage for a healthier day all the way around.
